Rakuten Bank conducts company-wide training for all employees every year and we support the growth of each and every employee through a well-developed training system, including management training for managers and grade-specific training for employees. We also have support systems for obtaining various qualifications and learning English.

Training Programs

Rakuten Bank provides training on the knowledge and useful skills necessary for business so that each employee can fulfill our mission of “empowering people and society through innovation.” We support their abilities development. Pleasant Work Environment

Rakuten Bank places top priority on maintaining the physical and mental health of our employees and strives to create a rewarding work environment by creating a work environment where each employee can work enthusiastically. Specifically, we are striving to maintain the health of our employees by focusing on preventing long working hours, encouraging employees to take five consecutive days off, and further improving the percentage of employees undergoing regular health checkups. If medical treatment is necessary, a safety net in the event of an emergency, such as a personal injury or illness leave system, a support plan for returning to work, and a special leave system for cases in which continuous hospital visits are required, so that employees can concentrate on medical treatment for a long period of time, established an environment where they can work with peace of mind. In 2023, Rakuten Bank has acquired "Kurumin certification" for General Employer Action Plans based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children.

Promoting Diversity

Rakuten Bank continues to promote diversity so that our diverse employees can play an active role, regardless of gender, nationality, or life stage. In addition to working on Englishnization, we have established systems such as allowing employees to work shorter hours until their children graduate from elementary school, and a special leave system that can be used for infertility treatment. We are also working to secure the employment of people with disabilities and have consistently achieved the legally mandated employment rate.
